SUMMARY:Sculptures
DESCRIPTION:A partir de troncs et de branches récupérés\, Aires de Jesus Domingues invente et sculpte tout un peuple de personnages inspirés de la vie familiale ou tirés de son imagination. Une sculpture naïve et savante à la fois qui s’adapte à la courbure même des lignes du végétal\, aux accidents survenus à la structure des pièces de bois trouvées. Une sculpture qui donne au détail\, à l’arrière-plan\, au décor\, une importance singulière qui révèle des mythologies secrètes ou des cultes révolus. \nMontées sur des socles travaillés avec le même soin\, les statues avec leurs grands yeux étonnés\, deviennent totems bienveillants\, divinités tutélaires\, génies des lieux. L’écho d’un art premier en lien direct avec la Nature\, paisible\, sans menace ni arrière-pensée. \nAires de Jesus Domingues\, d’origine portugaise\, vit et travaille en France.
