SUMMARY:Paysage cosa mentale\, le nouveau pittoresque
DESCRIPTION:La Maison nationale des artistes accueille la dernière exposition du cycle des huit manifestations initié par Christine Ollier à l’occasion de la parution de son important ouvrage\, Paysage cosa mentale*. Elle réunit une sélection d’œuvres photographiques d’artistes contemporains représentatifs du courant du « Nouveau pittoresque ». \nEn réaction à la vogue de la photographie documentaire laissant peu de place à l’interprétation\, la subjectivité regagne peu à peu du terrain\, ces dernières années et on assiste à la renaissance de visions photographiques singulières. De nombreux artistes s’inspirent du genre pictural\, s’en approprient les modèles historiques pour en disposer librement. L’ancrage reste le monde réel\, mais ce monde est scénarisé\, « re-fabriqué ». Les codes picturaux sont reformulés par la technique photographique et permettent d’adosser la transcription de la réalité aux esthétiques issues des courants historiques. A un certain point\, ce parti-pris représentatif semble prendre le pas sur le réel pour rejoindre des expressions purement plastiques\, nourries tant par la peinture que par la littérature ou le cinéma. Au milieu des années 90\, cette tendance est renforcée par l’apparition de technologies innovantes qui autorisent un traitement artificiel de l’image et une interprétation marquée de la réalité. \nLes œuvres des treize artistes présentées dans le cadre de cette exposition donnent à voir la variété des approches de ce courant : références à l’histoire et appropriation des modèles pour Balthasar Burkhard\, Tania Mouraud\, Véronique Ellena ou le tandem Marlot- Chopard\, influence du sentiment romantique et résurgence du sublime pour Elina Brotherus ou Thibaut Cuisset\, fiction et cristallisation de l’action dans l’instant photographique pour Ellen Kooi \, Florence Chevallier ou Laura Henno\, écritures particulières pour Catherine Poncin\, Claire Lesteven\, Corinne Mercadier\, ou Anne-Lise Broyer. \nL’exposition a lieu à la Maison nationale des artistes de Nogent-sur-Marne\, établissement singulier géré par la Fondation nationale des arts graphiques et plastiques à Nogent-sur-Marne\, qui accueille des artistes âgés.
