Une féminité que l’on retrouve dans la série des objets peints\, des toiles et des performances\, formes d’éclatements de couleurs vives souvent centrés sur un vide blanc\, comme une ouverture active\, qui nous invite à mesurer que l’infini n’est peut-être pas si lointain\, qu’il est en nous\, vivant et vibrant \nCette exposition d’été à la MNA présente diverses séries\, images et objets\, mêlant la vie à l’art. Myriam Bat-Yosef élabore d’étranges créatures\, sortes de ready-made bigarrés aux curieux atours. Ainsi\, une tête de chapelier en bois peint\, surmontée d’une tête de râteau à feuilles\, suffisent à incarner Le Dieu Soleil (1986). La chaise Comme il vous plaira (1986) se déplie des deux côtés\, offrant deux univers colorés\, à choisir selon l’humeur du moment. Ses Talons aiguille (1993)\, souliers dentés emprisonnés dans un cube en plexiglas est peut-être un clin d’œil au cinéaste espagnol Pedro Almodovar\, dont l’un des célèbres films porte précisément ce titre. Elle cherche à transformer la réalité fonctionnelle de l’objet par des effets de couleurs et de formes\, qui nous obligent à le reconsidérer sous un angle nouveau. Elle nous convie à briser l’aspect utilitaire\, en projetant le réel dans une dimension poétique. \nDans l’histoire de la peinture contemporaine\, Myriam Bat-Yosef occupe une place singulière. Ses œuvres sont exposées en Israël\, en Europe\, au Japon\, en Islande et ont rejoint les collections de musées d’art contemporain\, comme celles du Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris qui accueille son Déméter (1983).
