DESCRIPTION:Vous suivre \nDe mon premier séjour au Japon en 2011 j’ai rapporté des milliers de clichés. Parmi ces images\, je me suis attaché à celles de passants que j’ai suivis\, à leurs visages entr’aperçus et leur profils qui s’apprêtaient à disparaître. Leur présence éphémère imprègne ces moments d’une pudeur naturelle\, évidente dans tout espace social et particulièrement dans ce pays. Mais cette distance témoigne également d’une retenue\, la mienne\, tandis que je m’interroge : « Mais où vont-ils donc ? ». \nContrepoints  \nOctobre 2013\, quatrième séjour au Japon\, de Kyôto à Tôkyô en passant par la mer intérieure\, Hiroshima\, Onomitchi… Le rythme effréné de ce voyage m’a à peine laissé le temps d’écrire et de sélectionner les images. Puisés dans les mots griffonnés dans mon carnet ou dans mes souvenirs\, des textes offrent l’idée d’une photographie impossible\, d’un visage que je n’ai pas pu capter ou d’un court film que j’aurais pu faire… Les images sans chronologie n’illustrent pas les textes : les deux s’accompagnent pour laisser au spectateur la possibilité d’écrire lui-même un bout du voyage. \nL’exposition Contrepoints japonais met en parallèle ces deux approches que presque tout oppose : format\, impression\, rapport à l’écriture… Ce qui les réunit c’est le voyage. Que retient-on d’un pays qu’on découvre ?
