Cette exposition\, intitulée Célébrer la vie \, est présentée au sein de l’EHPAD jusqu’au 18 avril 2021. \nNée en 1926 à Naarden aux Pays-Bas\, Gerda Muller aime se présenter comme imagière\, et ce même si elle est également l’auteur des textes de plusieurs de ses albums. Publiée chez de nombreux éditeurs européens et en France\, au Père Castor puis à l’École des loisirs\, elle a également collaboré avec la presse enfantine. Elle a ainsi illustré plus de 120 livres dont certains traduits dans une douzaine de langues. \nSon style inimitable à la fois réaliste et poétique a façonné plusieurs générations de petits lecteurs et leurs parents qui ont regardé avec délectation ses images devenues des grands classiques dans les Albums du Père Castor (Les trois petits cochons\, la chèvre ou les biquets\, Marlaguette\,…) ou même appris à lire en classe à travers ses illustrations de Lisons\, Lisette Ses dessins déclinent une variété de techniques en fonction des albums et des sujets traités (gouache\, plume\, aquarelle). Mais quels que soient ses personnages\, du loup affamé aux trois mignons petits tous se trouvent toujours en mouvement dans des attitudes jamais figées et toujours pleine de vie. L’artiste déploie également un grand talent pour représenter la nature (et la végétation visibles) notamment dans Mon arbre (2018)un document romancé et récemment Ça pousse comment ?
