SUMMARY:Walter et Billy\, Sur les traces de l'enfer
DESCRIPTION:Commissaire :\nEtienne Hervy & Caroline Cournède\n  \nLes portes des espaces d’exposition restent closes. Cette fois\, elles ne s’ouvriront pas\, la MABA est en chantier. C’est peut-être cela l’enfer\, plutôt qu’un endroit: un moment\, celui de l’empêchement.\nUn salon des refusés tant pour les œuvres que pour les visiteurs hésitants\, incertains\, … «désœuvrés»! «L’enfer» désignait les rayonnages conservant les ouvrages interdits aux yeux et à la connaissance\, jugés contraires aux mœurs\, à la norme et à l’ordre. La bibliothèque s’envisage comme outil de contrôle plus que de transmission. Walter et Billy se réfugient dans le cabinet de lecture des sœurs Smith et de l’oncle Lesouëf sans savoir ce qui l’habite déjà. Sur les rayonnages\, chaque livre est replié sur lui-même et contient un monde\, enserré entre ses pages\, fuyant dans ses marges. «Sur les Traces de l’enfer» agit à la manière d’un refuge lui-même exilé qui collecte les travaux inédits ou anciens d’auteurs et graphistes.\nRegarder le graphisme «en soi» occulte le quelque chose dont il est le signal. Dans cette exposition—absente\, Walter et Billy rencontrent un livre qui n’en finit plus de se déployer\, qui expose autant qu’il est exposé. Ses pages constituent tantôt des espaces de restitution tantôt des créations-mêmes\, les deux la plupart du temps. Il y est question de vision trouble\, troublée et troublante.
