La plupart de ses œuvres trouvent leurs origines dans la matérialisation de termes linguistiques\, de mots et d’expressions.\nL’artiste explore en effet les références collectives induites dans le langage et les stratégies impliquées dans la construction de concepts. En donnant une forme matérielle aux mots et aux lettres\, elle sonde non seulement le langage et la signification sémantique des mots\, mais aussi la compréhension que nous en avons\, ce qui lui permet d’interroger les questions de l’expérience et de la transmission de la langue\, l’ambiguïté des mots et des phrases et la manière dont le contexte peut contribuer à la signification. \nLe titre de l’exposition «Thinging» d’après les écrits Thing and the Thinging de Martin Heidegger englobe différentes significations\, c’est autant la chose que l’action de devenir chose\, la transformation d’une chose en une autre\, la chose qui attire à elle une autre… et ce titre qui retranscrit une proximité entre les mots « the Thing : la chose» et « to Think : l’action de penser » contribue finalement à rendre cette idée d’un assemblage global dans lequel «Das ding dingt»\, et où chacun s’approprie l’objet ou la forme\, selon ses propres méthodes et systèmes de pensée.\nAussi\, les nouvelles sculptures\, en divers matériaux – marbre\, cuivre\, laiton\, brique… – réalisées pour l’exposition et placées sous cette influence de Heidegger\, apparaissent à première vue comme modernistes dans leur forme\, même si dans le même temps\, leur lecture se trouve perturbée par les autocollants colorés qui y sont apposés. Ces sculptures laissent ainsi évoquer un processus d’appropriation presque primitif tel qu’un enfant pourrait le réaliser – faisant sien par adjonction d’une chose sur une autre chose. \nCes assemblages/associations\, jouent ainsi de la tension exercée entre la tridimensionnalité de la sculpture et la bidimensionnnalité de l’autocollant\, l’habileté et la précision du geste face à des images ready-made\, mais aussi du contraste entre la préciosité des matériaux utilisés et l’aspect populaire et banal des adhésifs – sortis tous droits du monde de l’enfance : Schtroumpfs\, Stars Wars\, Smileys et autres icônes bien connues – se côtoient sans ordre\, ni hiérarchie apparente. Ces icônes servent alors\, tout à la fois\, de référent commun comme d’élément de différenciation – chacun l’interprétant ou le réinterprétant\, en fonction de son vécu\, de ses souvenirs\, ou de sa mythologie personnelle.
