DESCRIPTION:Artiste :\nMimosa Echard\nQuand\, habituellement une résidence se déroule avant une exposition\, Mimosa Echard\, pour sa première exposition personnelle\, inverse le processus. Ainsi\, l’accrochage proposé pourra (ou non) évoluer en fonction de ce qui se passe dans l’atelier de l’artiste situé dans une salle au-dessus ; atelier qui pourra aussi\, de temps en temps\, ouvrir ses portes au public. Une occasion d’éprouver le format exposition dans sa quotidienneté et de l’envisager comme un laboratoire d’expérimentation et de production. \nMimosa Echard y livre son interprétation du contexte et des spécificités de la Maison d’Art Bernard Anthonioz en convoquant\, par citation\, le parc\, la maison bourgeoise\, la peinture française du XVIIIème\, mais aussi les oiseaux. Dans ce territoire proposé par l’artiste\, se rejoignent notamment le domestique (un cheval\, des oiseaux\, des objets de la maison)\, le sauvage (toiles d’araignée\, des végétaux\, une forêt)\, et l’évocation des fêtes galantes (un masque\, le Gilles de Watteau\, l’escarpolette de Fragonard) sous forme d’apparitions-disparitions\, de pleins-vides et de fragments\, en un jeu d’aller-retours formels et conceptuels. L’exposition réunit anciennes et nouvelles productions dans lesquelles se retrouvent la sensibilité de l’artiste à la question d’une nature (réelle ou factice) indissociable de la culture : dans les travaux de Mimosa\, désormais les plantes sont artificielles et reliées par une chaîne ou recouverte de scotch. \nTravaillant souvent par collecte d’objets ou récupération/prélèvement de formes issues de la culture contemporaine comme Batman ou Humpty Dumpty\, Mimosa Echard réalise des interventions légères\, presque a minima : économie des moyens\, des matériaux\, du geste\, pour créer des oeuvres subtiles et malicieuses qui entretiennent entre elles des analogies\, des correspondances. Ces liens se matérialisent logiquement dans le motif de la chaîne ou du maillon (réel ou rendu symboliquement par des entrelacs\, des dégoulinures\, des ovales\, des résilles…) que l’on retrouve de façon récurrente dans les oeuvres de l’artiste. Autre particularité\, le format\, réduit\, presque modeste\, instaurant une fragilité contredite par la très grande efficacité visuelle.
