DESCRIPTION:Artistes :\nEmmanuel Van der Meulen et Raphaël Zarka\n« La fable est une sorte d’alphabet de l’humanité au moyen duquel on a pu écrire les premières certitudes philosophiques ; et pour cette raison les figures devaient fonctionner comme des abstractions algébriques ou des pièces d’un jeu d’échec » G.K Chesterton \nFables\, Formes\, Figures\, des artistes Emmanuel Van der Meulen et Raphaël Zarka donne à voir un dialogue ouvert entre-eux deux\, il y a plusieurs années. Peut-être était-ce au sortir de l’école d’art après leur diplôme à l’ENSBA. Ou bien après leur séjour à la Villa Médicis et une relation particulière à l’art italien qui s’y est exercée. Ou\, peut-être\, que ce dialogue a toujours été là et qu’il dépasse les notions de temps\, d’espace ou d’individus pour s’inscrire plutôt dans un continuum d’expérimentations autour de l’interaction entre une forme et un contexte. \nAssociant deux démarches trouvant leurs expressions dans le champ de la peinture pour Emmanuel Van der Meulen et dans celui de la sculpture pour Raphaël Zarka\, l’exposition montre la singularité de chacune\, et interroge les points de convergence\, de frottement\, de confrontation ou de rupture entre les deux.
