DESCRIPTION:Le 8 février\, la Maison nationale des artistes a accueilli Claude Crétient\, comédien\, metteur en scène et Béatrice Champanier\, comédienne\, réalisatrice et scénariste pour une lecture de La correspondance entre Albert Camus et Maria Casarès. Ce livre publié en 2017 à l’initiative de Catherine Camus\, raconte l’intense relation amoureuse entre Camus et Casarès\, à travers la simple vivacité du récit quotidien. \nLe 19 mars 1944\, Albert Camus et Maria Casarès se croisent chez Michel Leiris\, lors de la fameuse représentation-lecture du Désir. Ils sont jeunes : elle a 21 ans\, il a 30 ans. Camus est au faîte de sa vie d’artiste ; il a déjà publié L’étranger et prépare la publication de La peste. Maria Casarès a déjà joué dans Le malentendu\, elle est entourée de Michel Bouquet\, Michèle Delahaye\, Serge Reggiani… Et durant la nuit du Débarquement en Normandie\, sortant d’une soirée chez leur ami Charles Dullin\, Albert Camus et Maria Casarès deviennent amants. S’ensuit une correspondance de 16 ans qui révèle une passion toujours soutenue\, malgré les voyages et contraintes familiales de Camus et les tournées de Casarès.
