DESCRIPTION:Le 12 juillet\, la Maison Nationale des Artistes a accueilli Raymond Laboute\, ancien régisseur et Marie-Fabienne Bory\, ancienne bibliothécaire. \nSachant que cette dernière prépare une conférence sur la relation amicale et artistique qui s’est nouée dans les années 30 entre Hergé et Tchang Tchong Jen\, l’artiste chinois qui a terminé sa vie à la Maison des Nationale des Artistes de Nogent\, une amie perreuxienne lui fait parvenir un coupon de presse tiré du Parisien Libéré\, où sont évoqués la MNA et son ancien régisseur\, Raymond Laboute. Elle contacte cet ancien régisseur\, qui confirme qu’il a bien connu Tchang\, lui fait découvrir les photos qu’il a réalisées de leurs rencontres\, et accepte généreusement de participer à des conférences sur Hergé et Tchang (entre autres à la médiathèque du Perreux\, en 2013). \nTchang et Hergé ont tous deux 27 ans\, lorsqu’ils se rencontrent en 1934. Le jeune chinois a quitté Shanghai\, sa ville natale\, pour étudier les Beaux-Arts à Bruxelles. Hergé vient d’annoncer que la prochaine aventure de Tintin\, après Les cigares du pharaon\, se passera en Chine. Aussi Tchang est-il mandaté pour initier le Belge à la culture chinoise et lui éviter les stéréotypes et les raccourcis. Hergé sera marqué pour la vie par ce que lui fait découvrir Tchang : c’est une révélation artistique et philosophique… comme une école de rigueur !  \nRéalisé à quatre mains\, l’album Le Lotus bleu se révèle d’une qualité exceptionnelle. En dénonçant la difficile position de la Chine\, en proie à des exactions militaires japonaises plus ou moins soutenues par l’Europe\, l’ouvrage rencontrera une audience internationale. \nMais Tchang doit retourner dans sa patrie l’année suivante\, la guerre sino-japonaise étant imminente. C’est pour la Chine le début d’années particulièrement noires. Les contacts avec l’étranger deviennent impossibles. \nTchang et Hergé n’entendront plus parler l’un de l’autre pendant près de 40 ans\, malgré les recherches du père de Tintin.
