DESCRIPTION:Le film Drop out (2020) de Hoël Duret\, est un récit d’anticipation qui emmène son narrateur vers la Nouvelle-Zélande à la recherche d’un remède à la crise climatique qui couve. Dans ce territoire où l’homme s’est établi récemment\, il pense pouvoir découvrir une alternative aux vieilles sociétés qui n’acceptent plus d’être tributaires de leur environnement. Alors qu’il partage l’écriture de son film avec un groupe d’étudiants\, la confusion générale gagne l’île. La crise sanitaire du printemps 2020 rattrape l’écriture et sa fiction catastrophique se rapproche insidieusement du réel. Privées de leurs acteurs\, les prises de vues s’adaptent et adoptent des filtres vidéos Instagram\, devenus l’une des techniques de communications de circonstance. Tous les repères se brouillent. La climate-fiction n’anticipe plus de possibles futurs mais se niche au creux de l’espace-temps que nous habitons. Plusieurs mondes se superposent et s’imbriquent dans un temps perpétuel et kaléidoscopique.
